I had an amazing experience today that I wanted to share. I had the honor and pleasure of speaking at SCORE Austin this morning. If you don’t know much about SCORE – I would tell you to run, not walk to their website and check out the amazing things that this non-profit has to offer. There is an extraordinary collection of people who have succeeded, failed and succeeded again in the largest of companies and they are offering their wealth of knowledge to those who don’t have the same experience to draw upon.  They want to help small businesses and entrepreneurs succeed and will guide you anywhere from a business idea to implementation and marketing – at no cost!

2010: The Year SEO Isn’t Important Anymore

Published on December 18, 2009 By ClearFrog

I read this article and wanted to share it with you all since I thought it was an  interesting take on things.  There are so many marketing firms out there that tout they will get you ranked on page 1 of Google. Personally, my firm does not offer this service because I do not believe its worth the money and effort. If you are not #1-3 on the organic links, its worthless and all the thousands of dollars spent to outside agencies are wasted.  As you will see below – the algorithyms are constantly changing – emphasis on what search engines look for change and in the long run – how much ROI does it really gain you?  I know it will take a little bit of retraining your brain since we’ve been told SEO- SEO-SEO for a while now, but I challenge you to think of a better way to spend your time marketing your company.
